Quesada Reserva Oscuro Double Corona

For this new module, Quesada has decided to keep the same base as for the classic range, but using a beautiful broadleaf wrapper. Its downy surface is pleasant to the touch, and this distinctive texture is also found on the ash. The filler consists of tobacco from Pennsylvania and Ecuador, to which tobacco from the 1997 harvest has been added. This famous harvest was preserved by Manolo, who already had plans to incorporate it into his future creations.

Notes

The introduction comes without warning. This beautiful corona quickly delivers powerful notes of leather and earth. In the first third, a hint of liquorice adds a rounder, smoother edge, while notes of black pepper make an appearance.
As usual, we began the tasting with a punch glass, but after the first few minutes, as the cigar warmed up, its humidity increased and slightly stifled the draw. Never mind, we quickly remedied this with a quick snip of the guillotine and the aromas once again filled our palates. Bonus points for its remarkable construction. The ash even held up well.

Pairing

For this cigar, we chose to pair its round and punchy character with a triple beer. La Fin du Monde. This Trappist-style beer has a very fruity and aromatic nose with notes of citrus and spices.

Momentum

Take advantage of the Indian summer to spend an afternoon on the terrace. Accompanied by the coolness of a good beer, we can assure you that you will have a pleasant time.
