Having arrived in Cuba from Spain in the late 1800s, the Quesada family was initially unfamiliar with tobacco cultivation. As bakers, they were one day paid off a debt in tobacco, and that is how their story began.
Until 1974, their cigars were produced in Havana. That was the year they opened their first factory in the Dominican Republic.
Today, the fifth generation (Manolo, Patricia, Raquel and Esther) run the family business, which employs over 300 people.
