The first few puffs reveal beautiful notes of espresso, followed by a generous dose of creamy caramel sweetness.
The smoke is particularly full-bodied for a lancero, and the draw offers slight resistance. Here, one can clearly sense the multi-generational expertise of the family, whose founder, Jose 'Pepin' Garcia, began rolling cigars at the age of eleven.
The second third does not bring any major changes, the notes remain smooth and oscillate between a slight white pepper and roasted coffee notes. The smoke is pleasantly round and voluptuous.
The time has come to remove the large double ring. We take one last look at the ash before setting it down. Its outer layer is fluffy and light, while its centre remains compact. The burn line is clean, and throughout our entire experiment, no touch-ups will be necessary.
The finish of this "My Father Cigars La Gran Oferta" is consistent with the rest of the cigar. Smooth and rounded with a hint of nuts. By smoking it slowly, it is easy to maintain a pleasant temperature that allows you to enjoy it right down to the last puff.
