Born in Cuba in 1950, José “Pepin” Garcia began rolling his first cigars at the age of eleven. Drawing on nearly 50 years of experience, he decided to found My Father Cigars in 2003 in Miami before moving to Estelí, Nicaragua.
The brand quickly gained recognition thanks to its complex blends and meticulous attention to detail. Working alongside his children, Jaime and Janny Garcia, Pepin developed lines such as My Father and Flor de las Antillas, which have received international accolades.
The brand’s philosophy is rooted in family tradition and Cuban craftsmanship, paying homage to Pepin’s origins whilst establishing a unique identity within the industry.
