Hand-rolled in Nicaragua with tobacco from Jalapa, Esteli and Omotepe, this beautifully crafted cigar in "extra" format allows us to enjoy a tasting session lasting around 70 minutes, during which the aromas will steadily intensify.

Initially focused on the roundness of the cocoa, which was already detectable when raw, the flavours become increasingly creamy and indulgent. With a lovely length on the palate, its aromas linger and we also enjoy a slight peppery note, which is not at all unpleasant.

The richness of the cape is also evident on the palate, with a creamy texture that carries us halfway through this beautiful module. Once past this point, we remove the cap to enjoy the aromas of straw and burnt wood. The finish reveals a few autumnal notes reminiscent of nutmeg, making us want to savour another small square of chocolate.

About Izambar

“Isambard Kingdom Brunel” was notably involved in the construction of the Thames Tunnel in London (the first tunnel to pass under a river).

Izambar takes its name from this great visionary of the early 19th century and pays tribute to his Victorian-era world. Each cigar in the range proudly features a wide, colourful band adorned with mechanical cogs.

A passionate lover of fine cigars for many years, and a graphic designer and interior architect all his life, Edmond joined forces with Antonio, and together they launched the brand’s first cigar in 2016 after more than a year of back-and-forth trips to Nicaragua. It is a generously sized double robusto. Its name: Izambar Kingdom.

Today, the brand has expanded and offers a range of sizes (gordo, perfecto, double corona, etc.) which we are delighted to introduce to you.
