Balmoral Anejo XO Gran Toro
An exceptional cigar, rich in aromas and truly indulgent. We’ve chosen it for the depth and diversity of its flavours; it’s ideal for pairing with hearty dishes, particularly during the festive season.
At Blue Smoke, we have a soft spot for this size, the Gran Toro: both elegant and comfortable to hold, they offer a particularly smooth draw. Their size also allows you to prolong the pleasure compared to the Robusto.
Its coat is coarse and uneven, featuring a red and white band with a subtle embossed pattern.

Tasting notes
From the very first sip, notes of dried fig bring a sweet, indulgent richness. These are harmoniously balanced by spicy hints of black pepper. A creamy texture then unfolds on the palate, offering a remarkably long finish. A true treat for the taste buds.
It’s a very pleasant smoke, though there is one slight drawback: the ash is crumbly and falls apart quickly.
As the tasting progresses, the sweet and woody notes intensify and become increasingly indulgent. This is a cigar you’ll undoubtedly smoke right down to the band. On the finish, notes of toasted hazelnuts and nougatine fill the palate.
Pairing
Just imagine yourself after a New Year’s Eve feast or a hearty family meal. This Balmoral XO, with its smooth finish, will add a sweet and intense touch, perfect for rounding off your meal in style.
If, like us, you enjoy a fine Armagnac after a meal, a Darroze will pair perfectly with the Balmoral.

A cigar anecdote
Beneath the rich Nicaraguan Habano wrapper of the Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua lies a Brazilian binder made from Cuban seeds, along with carefully aged tobaccos: Dominican Olor, Nicaraguan Estelà and Brazilian Mata Norte, cut from the plant.
