Balmoral Anejo XO Gran Toro

At Blue Smoke, we have a soft spot for this size, the Gran Toro: both elegant and comfortable to hold, they offer a particularly smooth draw. Their size also allows you to prolong the pleasure compared to the Robusto.

Its coat is coarse and uneven, featuring a red and white band with a subtle embossed pattern.

Tasting notes

From the very first sip, notes of dried fig bring a sweet, indulgent richness. These are harmoniously balanced by spicy hints of black pepper. A creamy texture then unfolds on the palate, offering a remarkably long finish. A true treat for the taste buds.

It’s a very pleasant smoke, though there is one slight drawback: the ash is crumbly and falls apart quickly.

As the tasting progresses, the sweet and woody notes intensify and become increasingly indulgent. This is a cigar you’ll undoubtedly smoke right down to the band. On the finish, notes of toasted hazelnuts and nougatine fill the palate.

Beneath the rich Nicaraguan Habano wrapper of the Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua lies a Brazilian binder made from Cuban seeds, along with carefully aged tobaccos: Dominican Olor, Nicaraguan Estelí and Brazilian Mata Norte, cut from the plant.
