Tres Hermanos No 2 Piramide
A rapid, powerful entry with aromas of warm cedar and spices. A touch of cinnamon and cardamom add a rounder dimension, while the smoke delivers notes of bitter almond.
The second cigar from the winged brand. This torpedo offers raw notes of roasted almonds and leather. A first approach that almost reveals a hint of sweetness.
Beneath its beautiful Ecuadorian cloak lies a subtle blend of tobaccos from a variety of horizons. From the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and even Peru.
It gains strength fairly quickly, offering a fine range of toasty, roasted notes with a pleasant bitterness that gives it a long finish.
We particularly appreciate the quality of its construction and its flawless combustion.
Tasting note
Notes
The cigar gets off to a fast start, and from the outset gives us aromas of warm cedar and spices.
The first third continues with notes of Timut pepper, citrus and flowers, before finishing with a hint of cinnamon and cardamom.
As the smoke becomes ever denser, it too brings its share of bitter almond and burnt wood flavours.
This blend will keep us on the edge of our seats until the end of the tasting, with an increasingly dense and complex body.
Pairing
Heat up your Bialetti and accompany this wonderful cigar with a good Ecuadorian coffee. In the evening, pair it with a smoky whisky that's not too peaty. If you're smoking it with food, choose a fine "Fleur d'Hérens" prime rib. A real treat!
Momentum
At the end of the evening, warm up your Bialetti and accompany this marvellous cigar with a good Ecuadorian coffee. This is a cigar to enjoy at the end of a meal, ideally after grilled meats. In winter, it's easy to imagine sitting by the fire with a barrel-aged Valais Cabernet Franc.
