Tasting note

Pairing

A caramel latte macchiato will add a little sweetness to this powerful cigar with its rather spicy aromas.

Momentum

First third :
A spicy, vibrant starter emerges, marked by the dominant presence of black pepper. The spices add a zesty, warm flavour, with subtle hints of cumin rounding off this exciting first step.

Second third:
The transition is to deeper aromas, reminiscent of humus and volcanic stone. The earthy character is still present, but is softened by the creamy texture of the Connecticut wrapper, which adds roundness to the whole. At this stage, a clean cut is recommended to prevent excessive intensification of the spicy notes, thus avoiding tipping over into overly fiery flavours.

Third third:
The aromas continue to round out, now dominated by lingering earthy notes. The cigar maintains its depth, offering a balanced experience right through to the last stage.

Throughout, the smoke is full-bodied and the ash compact. The wrapper is fine and a tad fragile: handle it gently.

La Galera

La Galera is the heart of a cigar factory. This is where the master blenders work to transform a raw product into an exceptional cigar.

José 'Jochy' Arnaldo Blanco is one of those families who have dedicated their lives to growing tobacco and cigars. For the Blancos, the story began with Jochy's great-grandfather, who was already cultivating tobacco fields.

After years of rolling cigars for other major houses, Jochy's father decided it was time for his family to start producing its own cigars. For two generations now, Tabacalera Palma has been producing its own modules, which are proudly rolled by the factory's 400 or so employees.
