Balmoral Añejo XO Rotschild Massivo

Its Brazilian Arapicara wrapper brings hints of sweet chocolate, while its stem is full of warm flavours. Cedar, cocoa and a hint of spice that reminds us of the taste of seeds of paradise.

Añejo XO cigars are the result of an extremely meticulous blending process using exceptionally aged tobaccos, giving these cigars a first-rate round character. The Balmoral Añejo XO offers a beautiful medium-bodied smoke experience with aromas of cedar wood and cocoa.

Tasting note

Notes

It is gently lit, the first hints of cocoa are heard and the wrapper - a beautiful Brazilian arapicara leaf, perfectly matured and with prominent veins - quickly leaves a suave taste on the lips.

The smoke fills the space and becomes denser. Its round aromas intensify and give a sustained rhythm to the tasting.
Sometimes cedar, sometimes chocolate. A hint of spice that reminds us of the taste of seeds of paradise mingles with the dance of flavours in this cigar. The tasting is now in full swing

The finish is on a par with the rest. Round and powerful, the final third can be accompanied by a square of very dark chocolate. A real treat!

Pairing

Don't hesitate to enjoy it with a platter of cured meat topped with a few turns of pepper from the Moulin. This will echo the smoky notes and seeds of paradise that the cigar reveals.

Balmoral

The brand, which has been around since 1895, takes its name from Balmoral Castle in Scotland, the home of Queen Victoria. It was under her reign that many of the cigar industry's key players (who are still with us today) saw the light of day. Their watchwords? Craftsmanship and respectability.

Jacques Wintermans, founder of Royal Agio Cigars, is no different. This Dutch entrepreneur is the first of four generations to bring us these beautiful vitolas.
