Ashton Virgin Sun Grown Pegasus
This Ashton series was developed with Carlos Fuente 'himself', who selected specific leaves for this Ashton VSG series. The wrapper is Sun Grown, which means that when the tobacco plants grew in the fields, they were not covered by a protective cloth and therefore received all the power of the sun on their leaves. This gives the cigar a powerful aroma which, on this module, is skilfully controlled. An experience in itself!
Tasting note
Notes
Its fatty, tender cape sets the tone with sweet, peppery scents. With a gentle start, the first notes are of cedar and precious woods with a hint of white pepper. On the nose, teak and toast waltz between grace and deliciousness. It's clear that we're in for something heavy, but good! As you sip it, it slowly evolves towards leather and fungal aromas before offering increasingly gourmet flavours with an almost satiating creaminess at the end.
