Robert Levin, who grew up and worked in his father’s cigar shop in Philadelphia during the 1950s and 1960s, took over the family business in the 1970s. Having successfully expanded beyond the city limits, he decided it was time to produce his own cigars.

It was in 1985 that Ashton was founded. Following a brief meeting with the Fuente family, the decision was made. Carlos, Carlito and Robert would work together to create the brand’s first cigars.

Today, Robert’s son Sathya has joined the venture and shares his father’s ambition to produce the finest cigars in the world.
