Caldwell The King is Dead Supreme
A subtle balance of milk chocolate, spices, liquorice and coffee that will delight our taste buds for a good part of the tasting. Then there are the more oriental scents of wood, leather and spices.
5 years of work, back and forth and tasting! That's how long it took Caldwell's master blenders to find the balance of flavours they were looking for in this cigar.
This Dominican puro, with its slender stature (almost 18cm long) and dark cloak, looks good and could be impressive, but don't worry... from the very first whiff, it reassures us with a palette of controlled, smooth aromas.
A cigar we'd happily reserve for an afternoon basking in the sun or after a light supper in the company of a good stout that will bring out the roasted coffee flavours to perfection.
Tasting note
Notes
A subtle balance of milk chocolate, spices, liquorice and coffee that will delight our taste buds for a good part of the tasting. Then there are the more oriental scents of wood, leather and spices. An elaborate, complex composition that we'll enjoy right to the end.
Once again, Caldwell proves that a cigar that at first glance may seem imposing can be well mastered with power that doesn't get carried away.
Pairing
A good stout will echo the notes of coffee and cocoa, or a spirit light enough not to overpower the aromas of this great delicacy.
Momentum
After a light meal that leaves you feeling hungry.
