For this limited edition of Macanudo Inspirado, we acclimatised a variety of Habano seeds from Jamastran, Honduras, to Mao, Dominican Republic, and ultimately produced a magnificent wrapper," said Jhonys Diaz, vice president of leaf operations for General Cigar Co., in a press release. The milk chocolate brown colour is impeccable. Aromas of nuts, nuts and nutmeg emerge, with a very creamy texture.
The draw is consistent and the cigar is well rolled. In the final third, notes of sandalwood come through. The construction is meticulous, offering a pleasant and stable experience, although slightly linear with little evolution.
As for the pairing, a smooth, slightly sparkling Chasselas highlights the nutty notes and adds a slight bitterness that prolongs the finish while emphasising the cigar's saltiness.
