West Tampa Circle of Life
E. P. Carrillo, through its Casa Carrillo in the Dominican Republic, has undertaken the production of the Circle of Life cigars. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr., who was a true mentor to Rick Rodriguez during his time at General Cigar Co., has now reunited with his former protégé to bring this project to life.

Tasting notes
The embossed, gold-coloured ring band of this superb toro is carefully removed. A wrapper of an intense dark chocolate colour already hints at a flavour-rich smoking experience. The smoke is dense and the draw is quite airy.
When unlit, it offers magnificent chocolate aromas. This is a cigar with full-bodied aromas; a full-bodied, powerful cigar. Earthy and animal notes with a bold opening in the first third, which mellows towards the middle of the cigar. It then develops a rich, nutty flavour, with a remarkable finish.
This cigar, with its complex flavour profile, is pleasantly reminiscent of the Blackened M81 in terms of depth and the range of aromas.
Pairing
Definitely… an espresso martini.
