Vegas de Santiago D8 Toro Box Pressed
Every now and then, there are some cigars that go astray…
Originally intended for the German market, this ‘box-pressed’ cigar from Vegas de Santiago was never released in Switzerland.
With production limited to just a few dozen boxes, a delightful, rich cigar, and flawless craftsmanship… this is a vitola that simply had to feature in one of our selections.

Tasting menu
Notes
Ecuadorian Cape, Costa Rican and Nicaraguan tobacco combine to create a blend that is as surprising as it is intriguing. Whilst the D8 range is characterised by notes of beans and nuts, this blend offers instead rich, indulgent flavours.
The flavours are pleasant from the very first puff and evolve ever so slightly as you smoke. Best enjoyed first thing in the morning with a long black coffee and a croissant on the terrace.
If you’re not a morning person, it’s also a sublime experience when paired with a chocolatey stout.

A cigar-related anecdote
The distinctive shape of the box-pressed cigar gives it an exceptionally smooth draw. The smoke cools more quickly than in a round cigar and therefore reaches the ideal temperature for enjoyment by the time it reaches the mouth.
