Tatuaje Fausto FT127 Robusto

The Fausto originated from a limited-edition cigar: the T110, rolled in 2009 for a single shop in Hawaii, which Pete Johnson eventually added to the Tatuaje range in 2011. The FT127 is the robusto version, measuring 12.7 cm (the number in the name, in millimetres) with a ring gauge of 54, rolled at My Father Cigars in Estelí. A dark, oily Habano wrapper from Ecuador, with a binder and filler from Nicaragua, including ligero from Jalapa and Estelí.

The flavour profile is bold and full-bodied, very much in the Pepin tradition: a peppery start, followed by bitter cocoa, roasted coffee and an earthy base that lingers right to the end. A subtle sweetness rounds it all off as you smoke. Expect it to last a good hour.

About Tatuaje

Tatuaje Cigars is a boutique brand with a distinctive style – much like its founder, Pete Johnson – that combines Cuban heritage, meticulous craftsmanship and creativity. It has established itself as a benchmark among discerning connoisseurs thanks to its minimalist design, expertly crafted blends, and limited yet high-quality production.
A great lover of Cuban cigars, he dreamed of creating a brand that captured their spirit and authenticity. His meeting with master torcedor José “Pepin” Garcia proved decisive: together, they developed the first Tatuaje blends, rolled in the purest Cuban tradition.

The name “Tatuaje”, which means tattoo in Spanish, is a nod to the many tattoos he sports, a symbol of his personal style and identity.
