Room 101 Farce Nicaragua Toro
The Farce is a range of cigars from Room 101 (created by Matt Booth), characterised by original blends and a distinctive character within the Room 101 range: a well-defined flavour profile, meticulous construction and different variations depending on the version (Original, Nicaragua, Maduro).
Today we’re tasting the Bague Bleue, a Nicaraguan puro. If you’d like to immerse yourself in the authentic Nicaraguan spirit and flavours, this cigar is just the thing. The wrapper, binder and filler are all sourced from Nicaragua, resulting in a lovely intensity, a robust body and a distinct aromatic depth.
The cigar features a pale blue main band bearing the inscription ‘Room 101’ and gold accents, accompanied by a second, smaller band reading ‘FARCE’ positioned just below it.

Tasting menu
As soon as it is lit, the flavour profile opens with distinct notes of hazelnut, quickly complemented by a hint of lightly toasted hazelnut shell. The whole is underpinned by a fairly pronounced bitterness – distinct yet controlled – which adds depth without throwing the profile off balance.
One slight drawback, however: the ash proves to be rather crumbly, despite the burn being generally sound.
The cigar opens with spicy and peppery notes, with a fairly lively initial flavour. This initial intensity subsides very quickly, giving way to a more composed and balanced profile. The strength then settles into a moderate to mild range, making for an accessible and gradual smoking experience, without any harshness, whilst retaining a lovely aromatic definition. The finish is satisfying, with a lingering, dry aftertaste.
Pairing
A cigar that will pair perfectly with the richness and strength of an aged Armagnac.
