Perdomo 30th Anniversary Maduro Epicure Toro

This anniversary edition from Perdomo stands out for its use of exceptional tobaccos, aged for over fifteen years – a record for the brand. Every leaf, from the filler to the wrapper, has undergone a slow and meticulous fermentation process. The maduro wrapper has then undergone a second ageing process in bourbon barrels, adding a sweet and woody dimension to an already rich and accomplished profile.

Tasting notes

From the very first glance, the Perdomo 30th Maduro Epicure captivates with its beautiful, dark, silky and slightly veined wrapper. When cold, the cigar gives off subtle hints of cocoa, promising a truly indulgent experience.

Upon lighting, the draw is perfect: light and airy without being too loose, producing a generous plume of brilliant white smoke. The first third opens with warm aromas of dark chocolate and sweet molasses. The texture on the palate is round, full-bodied and perfectly balanced.

The middle third becomes more complex: notes of toast and roasted flavours emerge, underpinned by a smoothness derived from barrel ageing. The finish remains exemplary.

In the final third, the cigar intensifies: the notes become more toasty, spicy and woody, dominated by warm cedar and a hint of roasted coffee. A fine build-up of intensity without ever losing its elegance.

Pairing

Accompanied by a ‘tea of wisdom’ – a subtle blend of white and green teas from the 5T range, delicate and fruity – the pairing works wonderfully: the tea’s floral lightness balances the depth of the maduro.
