Joya De Nicaragua Red Robusto
A very fine Nicaraguan puro that transports us into the instantly recognisable world of Joya de Nicaragua. The name ‘RED’ on the band and on the box evokes the colour red, of course, but above all it stands for ‘Re Discover’ – the rediscovery of the Joya de Nicaragua brand.
Tasting menu
A clean attack with dry notes reminiscent of freshly dried summer herbs. The nose reveals aromas of warm stone, roasted coffee and, on the finish, delicate notes of hazelnut. The palate captivates with its particularly creamy texture, lending fullness and richness to the whole.
As you smoke it, notes of roasted coffee emerge. The draw is quite firm, and the smoke is mild. Unsurprisingly, the construction is impeccable.
Pairing
A cigar that pairs easily with any refreshing drink. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy at the end of a mountain hike, sitting in the middle of a meadow with a nice cold drink and a few beads of sweat glistening on your forehead.

About Joya de Nicaragua
Founded in 1968 by Simón Camacho and Juan Francisco Bermejo, the factory was originally named the “Nicaragua Cigar Company”. As one of the very first companies to process tobacco, it weathered the Sandinista revolution and the civil war, during which its premises were set alight and bombs were dropped on its roof.
Once the revolution was over and reconstruction complete, the company returned to private ownership and a new era began.
Under the influence of Dr Cuenca (and now his son), the company regained its footing and earned its current reputation by supplying a wide range of hand-rolled cigars that delight even the most seasoned connoisseurs.
