An introduction to cigar tasting, featuring two cigars from different regions. Paired with three drinks. Tasting session with the Karibbean Rendez-vous Cigar Club and the Blue Smoke Spirit Community. Open to all

Level: Beginners and novices welcome; no prior knowledge required.
Duration: 4 hours, from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm/6.00 pm

• Introduction to the speakers
• Basic principles of sensory analysis, based on the five senses
• Introduction to the flavour wheel
• Fun blind test and palate preparation
• Introduction to cigar tasting and a guide
• Tasting of the first cigar and two drinks
• Tasting of a second cigar and one drink
• Tasting of an “unexpected” pairing of food and cigar
• Raclette

Practical information

• The tasting will take place on the most beautiful terrace in Sion, overlooking Valère
• The venue is a 7-minute walk from Sion railway station
• Scex car park is a 1-minute walk away
• Rooms are available to book at a nearby hotel (Hôtel Elite) – request a room upgrade with mountain views when booking.
