Davidoff Winston Churchill Robusto
Behind the tribute, the Winston Churchill range follows a clear philosophy: to offer a cigar that appeals equally to regular enthusiasts and those seeking a more understated experience. The name evokes an era when the cigar was a marker of conversation and pace — a companion rather than a statement.
The cape comes in a tanned leather brown shade, with a neat finish and a construction that appears even to the eye.
On the nose, the profile is straightforward: oaky, with notes of dry hay that suggest a rather light and approachable character.
The draw is smooth, promising an easy smoke and a seamless release of flavour from the moment it is lit.

Tasting notes
The cigar opens with a dominant cedar note, accompanied by a subtle hint of nutmeg and a touch of nutty flavour (dried fruit) that adds a pleasant depth. The overall profile remains well-balanced, without any harshness.
Immediately, the smoke is rich and creamy. It rises in large swirls, delighting us with the scent of white pepper. As for the ash, it is slightly crumbly: it is best to remove it regularly rather than letting it build up too much.
Once the tasting is well underway, the development remains subtle but distinct: the notes shift towards toasted tones, then towards roasted coffee. On the finish, a more structured profile emerges, with leather and white pepper, in a rather delicate register that nevertheless tickles the nose slightly. The dominant woody character persists in the final third, with an intensity that remains light to medium, as at the start of the tasting. There is very little, if any, bitterness, which contributes to an overall very pleasant finish.
Once past the ring, the temperature rises slightly: by slowing down the pace, it’s easier to maintain the smoothness of the smoke.
Pairing
A light tea and a fruit salad are a good choice to pair with this profile. The tea complements the woody and spicy notes, whilst the fruit enhances the impression of sweetness.
