We have managed to secure a few of the 250 boxes available on the Swiss market of this superb limited edition, and this cigar is certainly well worth the attention of aficionados.

Don’t even think about punching this cigar! A straight cut is essential – here’s why. Cigarkings are rolled using the ‘Entubado’ method, which means the tobacco leaves are rolled into small tubes and then layered one on top of the other. This meticulous process allows the smoke to reach your palate through small channels, greatly enhancing the cigar’s aromas. If you punch your cigar, some of these channels will simply become blocked. So opt for a straight cut.

We met Philipp Kugler in Dortmund in September 2024, at his stand decorated in "Peach Fuzz", the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2024.

Tasting notes

The wrapper is superb: a beautiful dark brown with magnificent veins. Before lighting, aromas of cloves and chocolate fill the palate.

It starts with a spicy kick that pleasantly warms the mouth. The spices then ‘blend’ together to create a lovely balance with the cocoa notes. Throughout the smoking experience, a rich, dense white smoke accompanies us. The draw is smooth, and this ‘entubado’ method perfectly enhances the cigar’s aromatic intensity.

Pairing

Without a doubt: pumpkin muffins. We highly recommend this recipe. The spices (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg) pair perfectly with the cigar, complementing its spicy flavour profile. Find the recipe here
