Charatan Colorado
Tasted for the first time in its Half Churchill size, this newcomer, like its two bigger brothers (available in Robusto and Toro sizes), features a striking double band in classic Union Jack colours.
Its Ecuadorian Colorado coffee bean is flawless. Its brown colour has a slight ochre tinge, creating a lovely contrast with the ring. Its colour comes from prolonged exposure to the sun before harvesting. It is at this stage that it develops its wonderful aroma.
The first few puffs are delightfully rich. The slightly sweet almond notes caress the palate, whilst the pepper (very noticeable in all three sizes) quickly makes its presence felt and tickles the nose.
The woody notes then become more pronounced, lending a lovely roundness to the taste. At times more chocolatey, at others more spicy, the aromas evolve as the cigar burns down, leaving behind a beautiful, almost white ash that is both fluffy and firm.

A cigar-related anecdote
Even in its smallest size, the smoke is abundant and rich.
