Caldwell Blind Man's Bluff Toro

Blind Man’s Bluff is one of the leading brands created by the American (yet another American!) Robert Caldwell. This cheerful maverick of the cigar industry has no qualms about thinking outside the box when it comes to his brand names and band designs. Made with carefully selected tobacco leaves sourced from various regions, this cigar, rolled in Danlí, Honduras, is a blend in a class of its own. This, incidentally, gives it a surprising and delightful aromatic diversity.

Notes

Notes of spice and rich, indulgent flavours give this cigar a very interesting and flavourful start. A combination of the bitterness of dark chocolate and smoky notes reminiscent of roasted coffee quickly makes it clear that, beyond the rich, indulgent flavours, this fine cigar offers a wide range of aromas. Whilst the creaminess established at the start persists, the mid-section brings a touch of freshness with hints of vegetation and cedar wood. A mineral note developed on my cigar during the tasting, but I doubt it is present in every cigar as it is very fleeting. The finish remains creamy with notes of espresso and cocoa. Without a doubt, with such a rich flavour, this is a cigar that will go down a treat after a meal.
