Ashton Virgin Sun Grown Pegasus

This Ashton series was developed in collaboration with Carlos Fuente himself, who selected specific leaves for this Ashton VSG series. The wrapper, incidentally, is Sun Grown, which means that whilst the tobacco plants were growing in the fields, they were not covered by a protective cloth and therefore received the full force of the sun on their leaves. This gives the cigar an aromatic intensity which, in this size, is expertly controlled. An experience in a league of its own!

Notes

Its rich, velvety texture sets the tone with sweet and peppery notes. Starting off gently, the initial aromas are dominated by cedar and precious woods, with a hint of white pepper. On the nose, teak and toast dance between elegance and indulgence. You can tell this is a heavyweight, but a good one! As you taste it, it evolves gently towards leather and earthy notes before offering increasingly indulgent flavours with an almost satisfyingly creamy finish.
