Vegas de Santiago Short Salomones

The first puffs awaken our taste buds with woody notes. As the smoke fills the room, the cocoa aromas soften slightly, giving way to a final third of coffee and cream flavour.

A silky touch and smooth aromas drape this extraordinary cigar. Round in shape, we offer you a module with bold curves. A special format that will surprise you.

This salomone short is more than seductive. A silky touch and smooth aromas drape this extraordinary cigar. All round, we offer you a module with bold curves. A short salomones that will surprise you. If not for its unusual format, the quality of its construction and the subtlety of its aromas will win you over.

Straight from Costa Rica, this figurado will be sure to give you a good time.

Beneath a tight Ecuador leaf, you'll find a blend from different regions of Central America. The filler, made from tobaccos from Peru, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, brings the creaminess and fine smoke that characterise the house's vitolas.

"Stop time in a burst of happiness. My joy is when you smoke a cigar and burn your fingers". Marc Niehaus, Vegas de Santiago

Vegas de Santiago

It all begins in the fields of the Santiago de Puriscal region of Costa Rica. This is where farmers have been growing the tobacco plants used to make Vegas de Santiago cigars for over 100 years.

The altitude (around 1,100m) and mountainous climate of the region make the use of pesticides unnecessary, which means that we can continue to work according to age-old traditions inherited from the Huetar Indians, who gave tobacco as an offering to the spirits and attributed therapeutic virtues to it.

The very strict process of harvesting, selecting, drying and rolling each cigar takes around four years.

Most of the leaves used in VdS cigars come from the factory's own plantations. Other leaves specially selected for certain cigars may be added. These generally come from Nicaragua, Ecuador or the Caribbean.
