Silencio Black Supremo

Right from the start, the woody, spicy character is quickly apparent. We get off to a flying start with an earthy register (dry earth, smoke, leather).

The ebony-black cape of this gordo toro invites us into an experience rich in flavour. The veins are clearly visible, similar to the prominent veins of a racehorse. It's a powerful mount that will take us on a frenzied tasting experience.

The raw aromas herald a rich, intense experience. The construction is impeccable, the cap fat, with a pleasantly rough relief. The chocolate and woody aromas are already clearly present when raw. We strongly recommend a straight cut for this fairly powerful cigar, in order to appreciate all its aromas and control the spiciness that can quickly go to your head. Take your time to savour it calmly, with a refreshing drink.

The cigar is very easy to light, and a beautiful white ash quickly emerges, albeit a little crumbly. It burns evenly.

Right from the start, the woody, spicy character is quickly apparent. It gets off to a flying start with an earthy register (dry earth, smoke, leather). About halfway through the cigar, its almost rough character gives way to more roundness. Still in the same earthy, spicy register, we discover notes of aged oak, like the smell of a barrel cellar. We also detected a pleasant hint of aniseed, adding a touch of freshness and balance to this powerful cigar.

The final third develops powerful leather aromas, with a fine fullness on the palate.

A remarkably well-constructed cigar with a varied tasting experience, the key words being power, earth and leather. As its name suggests, this 'silencio' sometimes dispenses with commentary to give free rein to an intense tasting experience.

Tasting note

Notes

Woody, leathery, coffee grounds and earthy.

Pairing

In the evening, opt for a strong brown spirit, such as Bas-Armagnac. We tasted it with a Bas-
La Baronne Bleue" Armagnac

For an afternoon tasting, bring along a 'nugget' from the Orpailleur cellars. The wine's fresh and smooth sides will bring a superb sweet balance to this powerful cigar.

Momentum

Silencio Black Supremo was born of a shared passion between two long-time friends, a Cuban master torcedor and an entrepreneur with a passion for cigars. The story goes that they met at a cigar festival in Havana and immediately connected over their shared love of the art of cigar making. After years of discussing and tasting cigars together, they decided to create a unique cigar that would capture the essence of their shared experiences.

They spent several months scouring the most prestigious tobacco plantations in the Pinar del Río region, looking for the perfect leaves for their creation. After many attempts and adjustments, they finally found the ideal combination of tobaccos that would give birth to Silencio Black Supremo.

The name 'Silencio' comes from a particular moment in their creative process. One evening, after a long day's work in the tobacco fields, they sat down to taste a prototype of their cigar under a starry sky. They were so impressed by the richness and complexity of the aromas that they remained in silence, savouring every puff. This moment of deep, contemplative silence inspired the cigar's name, symbolising the peace and reflection that quality tasting brings.

The Silencio Black Supremo has thus become more than just a cigar; it is the fruit of a friendship, a quest for perfection and a tribute to the moments of tranquillity that smoking a good cigar can offer.

The cigar anecdote

What makes Silencio Black Supremo so special is its carefully fermented Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, which gives it a brilliant ebony colour and deep, espresso-like flavours.
