Psyko Seven Natural Robusto
It starts with notes of cocoa. The introduction is very gentle, leading to a tasting enhanced by the light pepper provided by the Mexican sous-cape.
Remove label before lighting. It all starts with this little warning. As if the Psyko of the tasting was us and not him. My spirit of contradiction will obviously invite me to bypass the warning and enjoy the first rebellious puffs of this cigar before revealing its Dominican wrapper.
The cape feels rough under your fingers and if you get a little closer, you can see the little teeth that give it that special texture. The filling is good and the feel is firm.
For the tripe, 7 tobaccos from different countries have been selected to bring balance and flavour to this module.
Take time to observe the cape before lighting it. The little teeth that make it rough will show up on the ash as little white dots.
Tasting note
Notes
It starts off with notes of cocoa that we had been able to detect in the raw. A gentle introduction that prepares us for the rest of the tasting, which will be enhanced by a small dose of pepper from the Mexican sous-cape.
The second third becomes more complex, with a pleasant hint of nutmeg and grass. The smoke, which was rather discreet at the start of the tasting, becomes fuller and the draught is as regular as ever.
Pairing
Let yourself be tempted by a pairing with a darker, more bitter craft beer.
