Plasencia Cosecha 149 La Vega - Blue Smoke Spirit - Cigar subscription and gifts - delivery in Switzerland

Plasencia Cosecha 149 La Vega

The brand's first Honduran puro, it dominates with woody aromas and freshly ground coffee. Warm and intoxicating, we recommend you enjoy it with patience (and a cappucino).

Produced from the 2014 harvest, this cigar is the second in the 'Cosecha' series.

Renowned for its exceptional production, delivering comforting flavours combined with a strong character, this module is the first Honduran puro in the Plasencia family.

To get the most out of the tasting experience, we prefer a punch cut, which ensures maximum concentration of the aromas.

Tasting note

Notes

When cold, the wrapper reveals warm notes of damp earth and cocoa porridge, but when lit, aromas of wood, bark and undergrowth are revealed, giving a very rich start.

In the first third, a sensation of freshly ground coffee predominates, accompanied by dense smoke and a streaky compact ash.

In the second third, nuances of earth and coffee grounds emerge, gaining in intensity with toasty notes.

The final third reveals a full-bodied Italian espresso, enhanced by cocoa flavours. The tasting is further enriched by subtle notes of leather, myrrh and resin.

Warm and intoxicating, we recommend you savour it with patience.

As the experience unfolds, its warm, woody characteristics are reminiscent of Galion's "222" fragrance.

Plasencia

In 1865, Don Eduardo Plasencia arrived on the island of Cuba with a single goal in mind: success. He soon had the opportunity to start his first tobacco plantations in the Vuelta Abajo region.

A few years later, he was joined by his nephew and exported the family's tobacco until 1963, when Cuban policy no longer allowed them to work and confiscated their farms.

It was then time to move to Mexico and Nicaragua in 1965. Then, once again, the family had to move to Honduras following the Sandinista revolution.

1987 marked a decisive turning point for the Family, as it was in this year that they officially entered the world of cigars by manufacturing their own vitolas.

Once a producer of tobaccos for other companies, it is now one of the great names in cigars, offering exceptional modules for over 35 years.

Still owning fields in various Latin American countries, it continues to supply its tobaccos to other cigar producers. This control of the production chain from seed to cigar enables it to guarantee the impeccable quality of all its cigars.
