Perdomo 30th Anniversary Maduro Epicure Toro

This anniversary edition of Perdomo is distinguished by the use of exceptional tobaccos, aged for over fifteen years - a record for the house. Each leaf, from the filler to the wrapper, has undergone a slow, meticulous fermentation.

The Maduro version is distinguished by its dark, rich and expressive wrapper, which benefits from a double ageing process: after a long traditional fermentation, the leaf is matured in bourbon casks, a process which has become a Perdomo signature. This step enhances the natural sweetness of the tobacco, adds gourmet notes (cocoa, vanilla, toasted wood) and adds extra depth to the whole.

Tasting note

At first sight, the Perdomo 30th Maduro Epicure captivates with its beautiful dark, silky, lightly veined wrapper. When cold, the cigar exudes subtle notes of cocoa, the promise of a gourmet experience.

The lighting reveals a perfect draught, airy without excess, releasing a generous, brilliant white smoke. The first third opens with warm aromas of dark chocolate and sweet molasses. The texture on the palate is round, full and perfectly balanced.

The second third gains in complexity: hints of toast and toastiness appear, underpinned by a sweetness inherited from barrel ageing. The combustion remains exemplary.

In the final third, the cigar intensifies: the notes become more toasty, spicy and woody, dominated by warm cedar and a hint of roasted coffee. A powerful build-up that never loses its elegance.

Pairing

Accompanied by a «tea of wisdom» - a subtle blend of white and green teas from the 5T, delicate and fruity - the marriage works admirably: the floral lightness of the tea balances the depth of the maduro.
