MUWAT Kentucky Fire Cured

A wrapper leaf dried over a wood fire using traditional Kentucky methods, giving this cigar very pronounced smoky notes. An ideal cigar to kick off your Sunday BBQ.

Looking for the perfect cigar for your next BBQ? We've got it!

Jonathan Drew's Kentucky Fire Cured combines traditional Nicaraguan know-how with an ancient tobacco smoking method straight from the United States. The tobacco leaves are carefully cured over a wood fire, giving the tasting experience highly aromatic smoky notes.

Once prepared, the leaves are then sent to Esteli so that the master rollers at Drew Estate can blend this special tobacco with a mixture of Nicaraguan leaves to make the filler and the wrapper.

Tasting note

Notes

Barely out of its packaging, it's already sending out its smoky, toasty aromas. The cape, with its spicy notes, evokes paprika and light pepper.

These impressions are confirmed on ignition, and the persistence of the toasty notes leaves us with a taste of revival.

The tasting is quite linear and the cigar offers little evolution during the 40 minutes of tasting, but its festive and summery side made us want to share it with you.

Pairing

A cold beer or a good glass of wine, whatever you prefer to accompany your Sunday barbecue. Let yourself be tempted by the experience and enjoy this cigar at the same time as the first sausages of the aperitif.

The cigar anecdote

Jonathan Drew, the founder of Drew Estate, was inspired to create this cigar by the tobacco smoking traditions of farmers in Kentucky and Tennessee. During a visit to these regions, he was fascinated by the fire-smoking method used for pipe tobacco leaves. This technique, in which the tobacco is cured over a hardwood fire, gives a distinctive, smoky flavour.
