Laura Chavin Perfecto competition

Launched to celebrate 10ᵉ anniversary of the brandLaunched around 2008, this line aims to embody an exceptional blend for discerning epicureans. Don't be fooled, this is a symbolic reminder of quality and exacting standards, not a real competition.

The range Competition by Laura Chavin symbolises cigar refinement: a complex, aromatic Dominican puro, one of the brand's finest products. This range has gone through major revival in 2019with a qualitative relaunch, followed by a extension of formats in 2021.

After some financial setbacks for the original brand, it was Willi Knopf who relaunched the brand, taking over the rights and launching a new '2019 edition' including the reinvestment of the Concours range.

Tasting note

What strikes you straight away when you cut the cigar is the density of tobacco in the cigar. So expect a rather tight draw, and prefer a clean cut. This density will be confirmed throughout the tasting, with a very compact ash. Another visual aspect is the band, a very charming wrapper in royal blue and bronze.

Uncooked, the lovely chocolate aromas promise a gourmet tasting experience.

The cigar anecdote

The Laura Chavin Classic Edition cigars are a blend of exceptional quality tobaccos, carefully aged for at least four to five years before being processed.
