The Aurora 115 Anniversary Toro

The tasting starts quickly with scents of black pepper and cinnamon. The Sumatra tobacco used for the wrapper leaf makes for a rather surprising blend.

Excellence takes time. Time brings experience. Experience is passed on as a legacy. And it's this heritage that we're talking about today. To celebrate La Aurora's 115th anniversary, the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic has taken the luxury of taking its time to offer us a cigar made with carefully aged and blended tobaccos.

This 'toro' version uses tobaccos from Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua for the binder and filler. The wrapper comes from Ecuador.

Take the time to savour it, because its power deserves to be 'laid down' on the palate.

Notes

The tasting starts quickly with scents of black pepper and cinnamon. The Sumatra tobacco used for the wrapper leaf makes for a rather surprising blend.
A cigar that will take you on a journey, that's for sure. Notes of citrus and walnut dance and mingle with aromas of citrus and wood.
The finish is softer and creamier, with a touch of old wood and a long aftertaste.

It is the Sumatra wrapper (Ecuador) that gives this cigar its warm cinnamon notes.

La Aurora

Opened on 3 October 1903 by Eduardo León Jimenes, who was barely 18 years old at the time, the "La Aurora" factory has survived the centuries. The first cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, it continues to delight cigar lovers around the world with its exceptional vitolas.
