La Aurora 107 Ecuador Zeppelin
107 years of expertise in the field is something to celebrate. And with this particular format, La Aurora has made its mark with its creativity and mastery of tobacco: from the fields to the cured product, and finally into your hands.
The Aurora 107 Zeppelin is a cigar that celebrates the 107 years of cigar-making expertise of the La Aurora brand. This uniquely shaped cigar is made up of a wrapper of sun-grown tobacco from Ecuador, a binder from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic, and a mixed filler of Dominican, Nicaraguan and Peruvian tobaccos.
Tasting note
Notes
From an aromatic palette with rather dry notes at the start of tasting, this Zeppelin proudly evolves towards scents of leather, cocoa and roasted coffee.
Its black pepper finish leaves a pleasant taste of revival on the palate.
Pairing
To accompany its notes of cocoa and coffee, try a dark beer like Nøgne Ø Imperial Stout, which will underline the cigar's creaminess.
Momentum
From the very first puff, the La Aurora 107 Zeppelin reveals flavours of mixed nuts and wood, accompanied by a slight touch of earth. As the burn progresses, the cigar develops increasing complexity with aromas of cocoa, leather and coffee, while maintaining a good balance between sweetness and spice.
The smoke is generous and the cigar burns quite well despite its particular format. The grey ash that forms quickly reaches the band.
The puffs are tasty, and around the halfway mark the roasted aromas make their appearance. The roasted walnuts gently give way to a pepper finish that adds a little kick to this tasting experience.
We warmly recommend this cigar to any connoisseur who, for the time of a cigar, wants to shake up their preconceptions a little.
