Izambar Sovereign Robusto Extra
At first, the roundness of the cocoa was already detectable in the raw, but the flavours become increasingly unctuous and gourmet. The aromas linger, with a hint of pepper.
This cigar is already visually appealing. Its shiny, dark wrapper is set with a wide black and silver band in the timeless style of Izambar cigars. The beautiful leaf from Ecuador already gives off the first hints of cocoa.
Hand-rolled in Nicaragua with tobaccos from Jalapa, Esteli and Omotepe, this beautifully crafted cigar in 'extra' format allows us to enjoy a tasting session lasting around 70 minutes, during which the aromas build steadily.

Notes
At first, the roundness of the cocoa was already detectable in the raw, but the flavours become increasingly unctuous and gourmet. With a long finish, its aromas linger and we also enjoy a hint of pepper, which is not to our displeasure.
The fatness of the cape is also evident on the palate, the creaminess coming through and carrying us through to the halfway point of this beautiful module. Once past that point, we unpack it and enjoy the straw and burnt wood scents. The finish releases a few autumnal notes that remind us of nutmeg and make us want to savour (another) little square of chocolate.
Pairing
Combined with hazelnut chocolate, this cigar will work wonders. The combination of the richness of the chocolate and the roundness of the cigar will tantalise your taste buds.
Enjoy the comforting, warming aromas of this classic, timeless pairing.
