Caldwell Blind Man's Bluff Toro
Blind Man's Bluff is one of the leading brands created by the American (another American!) Robert Caldwell. This merry troublemaker of the cigar industry doesn't hesitate to go off the beaten track with the names of his brands and the design of his bands. Produced with carefully selected tobacco leaves from different terroirs, this cigar rolled in Danli in Honduras is a blend in itself. This gives it a surprising and delightful aromatic diversity.
Tasting note
Notes
Notes of spice and sweetness give this cigar a very interesting and tasty start. The combination of the bitterness of dark chocolate and empyreumatic notes reminiscent of roasted coffee quickly make us realise that, beyond the delicacy, the range of aromas is going to be broad with this fine vitola. While the creaminess that had set in at the start held out, the mid-palate brought a little freshness with hints of vegetal and cedar wood. A hint of mineral developed on my cigar during the tasting, but I doubt it will be present with all the pieces as it's very furtive. The finish remains creamy, with notes of espresso and cocoa. There's no doubt that, with such a gourmet taste, this is a cigar that will go down well after a meal.
