Alec Bradley Prensado Robusto
Let yourself be flattered by the raw scents of lightly vanilla-flavoured cocoa before setting fire to its base and being transported by the oriental notes of cedar and dried fruit.
How handsome this box pressed is. His dark Honduran cape gives him a serious, grave look, while his royal gold ring confirms his princely allure.
With this cigar, Alec Bradley pays tribute to the Cuban roots of torcedor work by using the traditional 'entubado' rolling method, in which each leaf is individually rolled onto itself before being bundled with the other leaves of the filler. The rollers also pay particular attention to finishing the head with a triple cover.
Beneath its golden band, which gives it a regal appearance, and its dark oily Honduran wrapper, lies a blend of Nicaragua and Honduras that brings remarkable depth and complexity to this exceptional cigar. No wonder it was named Cigar of the Year in 2011 (for its Churchill version).

Notes
Let yourself be flattered by the raw scents of lightly vanilla-flavoured cocoa before setting fire to its base and being transported by the oriental notes of cedar and dried fruit.
Enjoy a fairly rounded first half while you wait for the smoke to thicken and bring out the spicier notes of roasted coffee.
Pairing
We tasted it with a 30-year-old Bas Armagnac, which perfectly balanced the spicy notes of the cigar while adding a sweet touch of sultana.
