Lemena

Lemena is a Swiss family story. Behind the three letters ‘BMD’ on the band lies Bruno Benaglio, the father, who passed on his passion for cigars to his sons, and his two sons: Mauro, who founded the project, and Diego, the former goalkeeper for the Swiss national team. The name Lemena is formed from their children’s initials.

What began in 2022 as a small family project took on a whole new dimension when the production moved to a new factory: Lemena is now rolled in the Dominican Republic by José ‘Jochy’ Blanco, a third-generation cigar maker, at his Tabacalera Palma. Together, they have created three ranges – Connecticut, Corojo and Maduro – each available in Half Corona, Robusto and Gordo sizes.
