Blanco
The Blanco Cigar Company was founded in the United States in 1998, but its history and family roots in the tobacco industry trace back to Cuba’s westernmost province, Piñar del Río, as well as to their long-standing cousins, the Plasencia family, with whom they share more than 80 years of history. The Plasencias, also originally from Piñar del Río, are now among the most influential families in the tobacco sector. They oversee all agricultural and manufacturing operations in Danlí, Honduras, and Estelí, Nicaragua.
The Blanco Cigar Company’s headquarters and its North American distribution centre are located in Clearwater, Florida. The Blanco family places great importance on family values, so much so that several of its members are involved in various aspects of the business.
