Aganorsa Leaf: A dream come true

In 1998, Eduardo Antonio Fernández Pujals travelled to Nicaragua with a dream: to grow the finest tobacco in the world whilst capturing the essence of Cuban cigars of yesteryear. To this end, he assembled a team of master Cuban agronomists who had worked for Cubatobaco for decades and brought them to Nicaragua. Since then, Aganorsa Leaf has grown to become Nicaragua’s largest tobacco producer, using Cuban seeds and traditional methods to produce tobacco of exceptional quality.

For Eduardo, the most important part of the tobacco sorting process is smoking it. It must become part of you, flowing into your veins, into your blood. Only then do you know what you’re holding in your fingers.

The company, which produces renowned brands such as Aganorsa Leaf, Casa Fernandez, Guardian of the Farm and JFR, is vertically integrated and oversees every step of production from seed to ash. This complete control over the process guarantees cigars of exceptional quality that combine the unique characteristics of the Nicaraguan terroir with the classic Cuban aroma.
