Gilbert de Montsalvat

Gilbert de Montsalvat is a Swiss cigar brand founded by Raymondo Bernasconi, inspired by the character in the novel 'Der Papst von Genf' (The Pope of Geneva) by Thomas Brunnschweiler. The brand was launched on 1 April 2008, incorporating the irony and moral of the story, which emphasises the importance of trusting one's instincts and judgement.

The cigars are made in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The brand offers several lines, including Classic, Revolution Style, Anniversary, Treasure and Lounge.
