Room 101 Nicaragua Toro farce
Le Farce is a series of cigars by Room 101 (creator Matt Booth), characterised by original blends and a distinct personality in the Room 101 range: a well-defined aromatic profile, meticulous construction and different variants depending on the version (Original, Nicaragua, Maduro).
Today we taste the blue ring, a puro Nicaraguan. If you want to immerse yourself in the spirit and pure tastes of Nicaragua, this tasting is for you. Wrapper, binder and filler all come from Nicaragua, which translates into a beautiful intensity, a strong body and a marked depth of flavour.
The cigar has a pale blue main ring with registration Room 101 and golden accents, accompanied by a second small ring “FARCE” just below it.
Tasting note
As soon as it is switched on, the tasting opens with clean notes of hazelnut, quickly supplemented by a lightly toasted hazelnut shell. The whole is structured by a fairly strong bitterness, It has a strong but controlled presence, adding depth without unbalancing the profile.
One small drawback, however: the ash turns out to be rather crumbly, despite the fact that combustion is generally good.
The cigar starts on a spicy, peppery note, with a fairly lively attack. This initial intensity is rapidly coming into its own, The result is a more composed, balanced profile. The force then falls back to a moderate to light register, This is a wine that is accessible and progressive, without being aggressive, while retaining good aromatic definition. Satisfyingly long on the palate, with a persistent, dry finish.
Pairing
A cigar that goes perfectly with the roundness and power of an old Armagnac.
