El Septimo Empress Sheba Maduro Gordo
The Queen of Sheba arrived in Jerusalem accompanied by a large retinue, "with camels bearing spices and much gold and precious stones". During her visit to Solomon, she asked the king many questions, which he answered correctly. She is impressed by Solomon's wisdom and wealth and offers him "a hundred and twenty talents of gold, a very great quantity of spices, and precious stones."
It's a tribute to the empress at the heart of the El Septimo brand's 'emperors' line. It's a cigar with oriental notes that awaits you, blending spices and roundness. The format is certainly imposing, but the draw is airy, making for a smooth and very pleasant tasting experience.
Tasting note
This cigar sails on flavours of rare African spices and white pepper. Its maduro wrapper drapes it with creamy yet powerful aromas. Raw, the cigar releases a nutty, nutty flavour.
The initial attack is powerful, with spicy notes of black pepper. The power quickly fades, giving way to grilled and chocolate aromas.
Pairing
We recommend a brown spirit such as Armagnac to accompany the spicy notes of the cigar. For a complete immersion in the Middle East, we recommend a gin with smoked tea syrup and oriental spices.
Momentum
An evening with friends, topped with a bewitching cloud of wisps of smoke.
