Escobar Connecticut Corona

The Corona is the slimmest size in the Escobar Connecticut range, produced by AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua: 12.7 cm with a ring gauge of 42. It features the same blend as the Robusto: a light, silky Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador, an Ecuadorian Habano binder and a filler of tobaccos from Nicaragua and Honduras.

With less filler and proportionally more wrapper, the smoke becomes more refined and the Connecticut wrapper comes to the fore. The flavour profile remains mild to medium, creamy, with notes of cedar, a hint of mild spice, a touch of sweetness and hazelnut. Allow half an hour, ideal when you’re short on time or for your first cigar of the day.

An iced coffee or a café crème brings out its creaminess. At the end of the day, a light amber rum complements it without overpowering it.
