CAO Cameroon Short Perfecto

The CAO Cameroon Perfecto was designed to celebrate the brand's 30th anniversary. This perfectly rolled 4 x 48 Perfecto is composed of a serrated and oily Cameroonian wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder. The band is adorned with two light green and gold stripes.

The richness and smoothness of this African leaf combines with notes of spice, leather and cocoa to offer a moderately full-bodied experience. The Cameroonian wrapper provides a beautiful balance between strength and indulgence.

When tasted neat, notes of gingerbread and brioche bread are detectable. The draw is easy and very well controlled. It starts with a hint of bitterness that develops into notes of leather and spices.

This cigar accompanied us to the electroclette, at the top of the Chaux mountain pasture in Verbier. A fantastic view, electro music and raclette cheese, a CAO Cameroon cigar: what more could you ask for?

Notes

Notes of gingerbread and brioche bread, quite similar to the aromas of cressin (a typical Valais brioche). The cigar gains in power and roundness, moving towards a more woody, spicy and leathery universe.

Pairing

Opt for a light red wine with roundness, such as an old vine Gamay or Pinot Noir that has been carefully stored in the cellar.
