Patoro Brazil Gordito

It's difficult to choose between all of Patoro's lines, as they are so different and interesting. Today, we're gently tackling the Patoro Brasil Gordito, which promises us a wonderful experience with its dark, understated, lacquered ring.

This latest exceptional creation from Patoro owes its name to the Cubra wrapper, a hybrid of Cuban and Brazilian tobacco seeds. A powerful cigar, but oh so balanced. There is only one flaw: the pleasure is too short-lived!

The pleasure begins with the eyes! The cape is even, the veins are visible and the cape is taut and smooth. We opted for a straight cut, revealing the interlacing leaves that reveal a beautiful density.

Tasting notes

Tasting notes

What a beautiful start! A lovely, straightforward attack with woody and toasted notes. It relaxes as you taste it, revealing notes of bitter almond and a beautiful spicy (Sichuan pepper) and warm palette. The final third gives way to deep, earthy notes.

The ash holds well, the smoke is full and white, and the draw is very pleasant.

Pairing

Don't hesitate to bring something sweet to accompany this tasting. We opted for a large punnet of local strawberries. As for drinks, ginger syrup is the perfect accompaniment to the spicy aromas. You could just as easily go for a Moscow Mule, but with ginger syrup so as not to cloud the palate with bubbles.
